FAQ's

  • Will the Electronic Cigarette help me to stop smoking?

By law we are not allowed to promote Electronic Cigarettes as a smoking cessation device.

However, by using the electronic cigarette people have reported that they smoke less and by moving to lower strength cartridges over a period of time have reduced their nicotine dependency greatly.

Additionally we have No Strength cartridges which allow the smoker to still hold something and puff but without inhaling any nicotine.

  • How long does the battery take to charge?

Ideally for the first charge, as these are Lithium-ion batteries, you should leave the battery in the charger for eight hours. Even if the charger light goes green, this will maximise the storage capacity of the battery.

This is exactly the same routine as with a mobile phone charger.

After this first charge it should only take about a hour to one and a half hours.

  • How do I know which battery fits which cartridge?

    That's easy!

All of our batteries fit all of our cartridges.

For example, the Nicmaxx Starter kit is currently the only one with a Black Battery. If you were a Menthol smoker, you can buy the Nicmaxx Kit to get the black battery but then buy Menthol Cartridges for it. Simples!

  • Do you sell Liquid to fill empty cartridges?

    No.

Our stance is that we take great care to produce Pharmaceutical Grade Nicotine for our electronic cigarettes to ensure the highest safety and smoking pleasure for our customers.

  • Do you sell Atomisers?

No. We don't need to sell Atomisers.

Traditionally when Electronic Cigarettes were first invented, they were a 3 piece device with a Battery, Atomiser and Cartridge.

The technology has moved on significantly since those days and now the Atomisers are built into the Cartridges. These are now termed Cartomisers, although they can be referred to as simply cartridges.

inLife Cigarettes have been employing Cartomiser style cartridges since 2010.

If you are still using electronic cigarettes with atomisers today then they are pretty old technology!

  • Where may I purchase replacement batteries?

Replacement batteries and other replacement items and accessories are available in the online shop under the accessories section.

  • How long does a battery last?

inLife batteries are rechargeable. A new battery out of the box should be charged a minimum of 8 hours before the first use. After that, a normal charge should only require 2 - 4 hours of charge time. We recommend an overnight charge, just like you would charge your cell phone.

A reduced volume of vapor typically indicates that the battery needs to be charged, even though the tip of the battery will still produce a green light. It is a good idea to purchase an optional, additional rechargeable battery to keep your product working when you need it.

Depending on usage, a battery should be useable for about one year before needing to be replaced.

  • How long does a cartridge last?

The inLife cartridges hold the equivalent to approximately two packs of cigarettes. It can vary depending on how an individual inhales.

  • What is Propylene Glycol?

Propylene glycol is a food additive found in many foods we eat today. It is used in food coloring, flavoring and also used to keep food, medicines and cosmetics moist. It is considered to be generally safe and it is the element in our product that helps to create the vapor that simulates smoke. It is also used in medical inhalants. Although the FDA considers it as "generally recognized as safe" for use in food, cosmetics and medicines, use of propylene glycol in simulated smoking devices is not currently included in the list of uses generally recognized as safe by the FDA.

  • What is Nicotine?

Nicotine is an addictive alkaloid that is naturally present in certain plants. A high presence is found in tobacco and a low presence is found in common vegetables such as potatoes, tomatoes and green peppers.

Nicotine, when delivered in small dosages such as in a cigarette or cigar can deliver a feeling of calmness or relaxation. Current available information states that nicotine in and of itself has not been shown to cause cancer in healthy tissue. Additionally, it has not been shown to have any mutagenic properties.

This being said, it should also be noted that the International Agency for Research on Cancer has not evaluated nicotine as of this time. Nicotine is considered habit forming and addictive.
