There are two main parts to an electronic cigarette.
The cartomizer acts like the butt of the electronic cigarette, it is The Cartridge which contains a liquid that determines the flavor and nicotine strength of your e-cigarette and The Atomizer which is a small heating element (non-flammable) that turns the liquid inside the cartridge into smoke-like vapor, much like a miniature smoke machine.
Cartridges can be purchased with flavors like Tobacco and Menthol. You also can decide between nicotine strengths such as High(1.8%), Medium (1.4%) Low (1.1%) and even Non-Nicotine, for those that are interested in reducing their nicotine intake without losing the pleasure of smoking.
The cartridge then screws into the end of the battery. The battery supplies the electronic cigarette with power. Since the e-cigarette is powered by the battery, there is no open flame or ashes to deal with. On the end of the battery there is a small L.E.D. light that turns on when you inhale through the e-cigarette. The L.E.D. comes in a green. The green L.E.D. makes the e-cigarette appear different than a traditional cigarette which usually invokes a lot of interest. The battery is rechargeable and lasts between 1-3 days depending on how much you smoke.
When all the pieces are assembled, the electronic cigarette looks nearly identical to a regular cigarette. You smoke the electronic cigarette in the same way as you would smoke a tobacco cigarette, without all the hassle of lighters, ashtrays, non-smoking areas...etc.
The inLife Regal2 units are comprised of an Electronic Cigarette Device, commonly referred to as the Battery, and a Cartridge (cartomizer) that comes with varying strengths of nicotine content ranging from High, Medium, Low and Zero. The cartridge contains, water, flavour, nicotine and propylene glycol (a safe food additive).
When the user inhales at the mouthpiece, a small switch located in the battery is activated and power is delivered to the atomizer. The action is regulated by a microchip which is also located in the battery. When power from the battery is applied, the atomizer is energized and creates a vapor derived from the moisture and propylene glycol that is found in the cartridge.
As the vapor passes through the cartridge, it picks up the nicotine and flavoring and delivers it to the user. The user absorbs the nicotine either through the mucus membranes in the mouth or through the lungs and then exhales.
A cartomizer is the new name for a cartridge which has an inbuilt atomizer. The first phase of electronic cigarettes used a seperate atomizer. Regal 2 cartridges contain an atomizer in every cartridge making this an extremely robust and cost effective cartridge. The video above shows the original products which have now been improved.
